Meet Jared

“I was broken. A heroin addict. I was done - I had no hope. There was nothing else I could do. But I knew there was hope here at the Mission. I knew this was where I needed to be. I love the classes, devotions, chapel, church - love it all. I was in the program a year ago and I had never gone to church really, not since I was a real little kid, but it was only because I had to, now it’s because I want to. I see hope in my future. I just have to stick with Jesus. I have to listen and learn and soak everything in here.

Rock bottom for me was: there’s nothing left. You’re just empty inside. I had nowhere else to go. I wanted to end it. I didn’t want to live anymore.

So I have to stick with what I’m learning here - pray that I do.”
